We started construction in November. Here is the great room looking toward double closets, the two kid bedrooms, kid bath, and toy room.

Began dry wall and the messy job of mudding and taping. This will be the play house under the stairs.

Great room! Lots of closet storage, small wet bar, fireplace, and cabinet for (future) tv & components.

So my grand plan was to photo journal this project with lots of details and pics. Grand plan took back seat to life and holidays. We are thrilled with the end result and loooove the basement. Please come see for yourself!

Ooohhh! It's so beautiful! Completely jealous of all that glorious space! You guys did a great job...Maybe one day soon I'll get to see it in person.
Kep us posted on plans fr visiting. When I taught school it was year round. It was a little tuff to get used to. As a teacher it was great! as a parent of 4 I don't know how much I'd enjoy it. It would definatley have it's pros and cons.
My brother Shane and his wife Megan had a baby boy last week. Gage is his name 8lbs 10 oz...super cute!

I am so impressed! You do have lots of room for visitors. I was hoping maybe we would come for conference but Rachel broke her leg skiing so it looks like we won't be going anywhere for awhile.
